The Location
The house in its present form has been built in the beginning of the 18th century. Probably as the private house of one of the many tobacco traders. They operated and lived in this specific area with the Tobacco Exchange just around the corner.
It was a good and prosperous live and everyone should know that. Dressed in beautiful clothes they were parading over their Burgwal, which got so the nickname the Velvet Burgwal.
The kitchen
Is located in the basement; a modern one in authentic style with all facilities needed to prepare dinners of 3-6 courses. For cooking ánd dining. The dining table in the kitchen can have up to 14 guests
The dining rooms
They are on the first Floor: stylish rooms wich an original panneled floor and a ceiling at 4,40 meter height. The Antichamber is at the front with a view of the canal and the beautiful 17th century buildings of the pawn house. In this room people had to wait in those days before they were cordially invited into the main Chamber. The Antichamber can host up to 12 people; the bigger Chamber another 20 persons.

La Cuisine Ronde can host meetings/gatherings which are asking for a nice and comfortable environment with superb dishes and a good glass wine. The reason for organising
such an event may be very different: a birthday, an anniversary, the annual dinner of the Board, a farewell party………La Cuisine Ronde can offer that in its beautiful decorated dining rooms. With a balanced menu at in classic style laid tables, with silver chandeliers and cutlery, with cut glassware and flowers.
