In April 2007 the first diamond museum opened its doors to the permanent exhibition, Brilliant Beauties and the temporary exposition, Crown Jewels.
In the beautifully restored villa on the Museumplein, the museum takes its visitors along a journey through ten themes revealing the turbulent history of the diamond, films, photographs, jewellery, historic documents and, of course, the diamonds. The Crown Jewel exhibition shows crowns from all over the world and from many ages, symbols of royal power and worldy splendor.
