Informal Dutch restaurant in the city centre of Amsterdam, well known for steak dinners, traditional cuisine and friendly ambiance. This restaurant is named after Lady Haesje Claes, born in 1520 into a prosperous merchant family. She was founder and patron of the Public Orphanage, now the Amsterdam Historical Museum. The spirit and period atmosphere linger throughout the old Dutch chambers where typical Dutch dishes are now being served.
