Kapitein Kok

Paddlewheel steamer for exclusive, private parties

The Kapitein Kok paddlewheel steamer, was built in 1911 in Kinderdijk, The Netherlands. Her original name was 'Nr. 6' since she was the 6th ship that was built to maintain a regular service on the river Lek in Holland, between Schoonhoven and Rotterdam. Hundreds of paddlewheelers were operating in Holland and sadly, they all have been demolished, except the remnants of old Lek boat Nr.6. In September 1976 the 59 meter long Nr. 6 was brought back to her native waters and the largest restoration project in Holland started. Kapitein Kok was the last commander of Nr. 6 and he gave the renovated vessel his name.

Today the Kapitein Kok hosts exclusive, private, parties.
Maximum capacity of the ship is over 350 persons. Her ambience, as well as her quaint interior will delight guests. While cruising, guests can see the huge paddles moving and working through glass windows, a magnificent sight!
Her upper, middle and lower decks are beautifully decorated and the Chef prepares superb food.
Life music entertainment, dinner-dance, meeting your fellow guests while cruising through the harbour and beyond will be enjoying an unforgettable event.
