Koepelkerk

The Koepelkerk owes it's name and fame to it's beautiful copper dome - a landmark. Once inside, the view upwards is even more impressive because it is a view straight back into history, making it almost impossible not to respect the makers' artistic vision and craftsmanship.
The Koepelkerk owes it's name and fame to it's beautiful copper dome - a landmark. Once inside, the view upwards is even more impressive because it is a view straight back into history, making it almost impossible not to respect the makers' artistic vision and craftsmanship. This sense of awe is enhanced even further when we consider that the Koepelkerk was built in 1671, and still retains all of it's original charm. The Koepelkerk has been in use as the international conference facility of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel since 1975. As a conference location, the Koepelkerk is unique in Europe. As far as we know, there is no location anywhere else with such authenticity, such historic allure: the physical surroundings are so inspiring that every conference is bound to be a success.

The ground floor of the Koepelkerk measures 450 square meters and offers exceptional conference facilities for 450 persons. A short oak staircase leads to the first floor with it's three additional conference areas, providing a total surface of approx. 200 square meters. An ideal facility for a coffee-break, buffet, aperitif or informal post-conference chat. These reception areas open onto the rounded balcony, from which one can follow events on the ground floor and gaze up into the 'heavenly' dome itself. The conference area has in fact been renowned for it's refined acoustics for centuries.

Of course, the Lutherans did not have any technological aids to convince the people attending the conference. These days, the technical facilities are such that the speaker himself can adjust the volume.

The Koepelkerk may be a very old meeting place, but it's conference area offers the very latest facilities. From ordinary (mobile) telephones to a DCN meeting installation with a central translation system. Furthermore the ISDN connection makes it possible to hold meetings 'live' worldwide (video conferencing and internet), even the 'sky' is not 'the limit' anymore...

Your overhead, slide, video, DVD and PowerPoint presentations will become with one or more barco projectors a masterly example of perfection!
Special lighting of your meeting room or a more intimate atmosphere can be created on request.
