Some of the rooms were renovated in 2006 and offer even more comfort than they already did.The WestCord Sity Cente hotel is a trendy hotel right in the middle of Amsterdam. Out of the 106 rooms in the hotel 46 were renovated and upgraded to STAR rooms. On top of the regular facilities these rooms offer air conditioning, a flat screen tv and free broadband Internet. The STAR rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom including 'rain shower'. Standard rooms are equipped with a private bathroom (with shower or bath). All of the rooms have a phone, trouser press, coffee and tea making facilities, safe, desk (and chair), hair dryer and tv. The modern furnishing of the rooms combines comfort with a pleasant atmosphere. Due to the excellent location, the centre is always within grasp. Around the corner you will find the Dam square, from where a lovely stroll will take you to the Rembrandtplein. Numerous museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are very easy to reach as well. The sparkling Leidseplein with its many restaurants and bars can be reached easily by public transport. Within 5 minutes you can walk to Amsterdam Central Station, where fast and frequent connections towards the rest of the city can be found. Since 2005 the WestCord City Centre includes a 'Piazza d'Oro', where breakfast is being served between 07:00 and 10:00 h on weekdays and 07:30 to 10:30 h in the weekend. The exclusive coffee bar of 'Douwe Egberts (renowned Dutch coffee manufacturer)' offers a splendid cup of coffee, as well as a wide variety of bread rolls and pastries. The entire day luxurious sandwiches with mozzarella, pesto and other Italian delicacies can be enjoyed.The narrow streets in the centre are enriched with restaurants serving dishes from all over the world. An abundance of bistros ensure culinary delight in every price class. The STAR rooms are equipped with (free) broadband internet. Standard rooms have an analogue internet connection.
