In 1996 plans were released for the preservation of the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. Immediately, Jaap van Dijk, Georgy and Philippe Bedier de Prairie saw an opportunity to realize a long standing wish: a bar and restaurant which is bustling with activity from dawn till dusk: meetings, lounging, work, parties, drinks, presentations, dinners, dj's and live music. Together with architects Schulze and Van Dijk and interior architect Paul Linse it was decided to build a modern style interior in the spirit of the original architect of the Olympic Stadium, Jan Wils and of contemporaries such as Charles Eames and Frank Lloyd Wright. This resulted in a spacious bar and restaurant in the catacombs of the Stadium. A bar and outside seating area which overlook the riverside,a comfortable lounge and a restaurant which has a spacious view of the Stadium arena. It also has a large open plan kitchen with an eye catching wokstation and a separate room on the first floor.
